Enough is Enough
It’s been 45 years from the first version, which he wrote after John Lennon was shot in 1981 to this version you are watching today. Unfortunately the song has had to change with the times since things have only gotten worse regarding guns and innocent people dying. Here is the video of the live band performing the song in the studio. Thanks to the musicians, studio personnel, the film & editing crew and the mixing and mastering studio!

V1
All alone for the night
Their parents were sure
The boys would be fine
The older son who was nine
Thought that it would be fun
To get daddy's gun and play
Laughter turned to cries as his brother closed his eyes
Chorus 1
When will it stop when will it end
It's tearing me up
No one should be next
What will it take ’til we see
Enough is Enough
V2
In and out of the store
He put the bags in the car
Buckled up and closed the door.
His mom got our of the car
Said "Baby, I'll be right back"
He saw her smile as she turned away
Shots rang out down the block , the kid‘s mom just died on the spot
Chorus 2
When will it stop when will it end
It's tearing me up
No one should be next
What will it take till we see
Enough is Enough,... Enough is Enough
Bridge 1
Bullets don't shed tears
A barrel never bleeds
Cold steel feels no pain
It all seems so insane
V3
On a night like tonight
On a street in New York
On a sidewalk he walked so many times before
A songwriter that we all knew
Stepped out into the light
Never having a chance to fight
A twisted mind pulled the trigger five times
Chorus 3
When will it stop when will it end
It's tearing me up
No one should be next
What will it take till we scream
Enough is Enough... Enough is Enough
Bridge 2
Kids aren’t safe in their school
Folks aren’t safe at their job
Is anyone safe where they choose to pray?
So many shredded dreams... So many shattered hearts
Out Chorus
When will it stop when will it end
It's tearing us up
Now our world’s not the same
Should we all share the blame
Enough is Enough... Enough is Enough… Enough is Enough
